Treasure Chest Thursday - Slemmons album pages 4-5

Here is another installment of my Slemmons Photo Album. As I posted last week I have taken digital pictures of a photo album that my aunt owns. These are pages 4 & 5 of the album.

And here is a closer look at the page on the left, page 4.

The paper label at the bottom of the picture states, "Willie Slemmons and wife, a brother of Mrs Emma Munday" His full name is William Thompson Slemmons, son of Asher and Martha Franklin Slemmons, and he was born February 8, 1850 and died September 21, 1899. Willie married Mary Henly Parrish on April 18, 1872. Mary died August 13, 1894. They are in the 1880 Cumberland County Kentucky Census with their four children: daughter, Leria; son, Henry F and twins, Minor W & Minnie S.

As a side note, the bottom of the picture shows that the photographer's studio was in Marrowbone, Kentucky. Marrowbone is in Cumberland County, Kentucky.

The fifth page has this....

The paper label at the bottom of the photo reads, "A. C Johnson, wife & son Henry[.] Mrs Johnson is sister of Mrs Munday (E.C.)" The rest of the story is this: Fannie's full name was Sarah Frances Slemmons. She was born on May 15 1854 to Asher and Martha Franklin Slemmons. Fannie married Andrew C Johnson on October 20, 1887.
