Treasure Chest Thursday - Slemmons album pages 2-3

As I posted last week I have taken digital pictures of a photo album that my aunt owns. This is pages 2 & 3 of the album.

Here is a closer picture of the page on the left or as I am calling it, page 2.

This sad looking woman is Milley/Millie Thompson Slemmons, sister of Asher. Millie was born 25 Dec 1814, maybe that's why she looks so sad, all of those years of getting cheated out of birthday presents. HA!

Anyway, Millie was married on January 22 1835 to Roger Thompson Franklin, brother of Martha,  Well, well, well talk about keeping it in the family!

Roger T. Franklin died March 15 1886 and Millie T. Franklin died January 9 1989.

This leads me to the 3rd page.....

This is Richard Franklin, brother to Martha and brother to Roger Thompson Franklin, the husband of the before shown "sad" Milley/Millie. Richard was born Jun 28 1817 and married Emily Calhoun on December 17 1846. Richard. I find it interesting that of all of her brothers, she had 6, this is the only one of which she had a picture. Additionally, when choosing names for her children, Martha named one of her daughters, Emily Calhoun Slemmons - my great-grandmother that I have posted about before, after this man's wife.
